Soul Daddy

A couple of weeks ago we met up with some of our friends for a fun night out.  We went to South Street Seaport and ate at Soul Daddy.  It was the winner of the show 'America's Next Great Restaurant', which I had never seen, and the Stringhams wanted to check it out.  The food was good, but nothing that I have to tell everyone that they have got to try.  I did enjoy the cornbread waffles with honey butter and could have ordered a few more orders of those.
I think that the after dinner entertainment was my favorite part.  We walked on the pier and saw the view of the Brooklyn Bridge and the beautiful East River.  Salsa music was blaring and the kids couldn't help but try out all of their moves, even some break dancing.  I wouldn't mind going back soon to check out all of the fun shops and the imagination playground.

On our way home we walked by one of the new World Trade Centers.  It has gone up fast, just over the past two years.  It is still such a solemn place to pass by even among the hustle of the city.

What fun you are having!!!! You all look great in the picture. Are the Stringhams friends from New Hampshire? They look familiar.

Take it all in guys! I didn't know they were rebuilding the twin towers. Sounds like you're keeping the good times rollin'! 18 days...

Agh! How do you stay so skinny eating cornbread waffles?! I wish I had your metabolism! *sigh* :D I'm so jealous at how much fun you're having in the big apple!
