After toting this quilt around to about 4 different homes, it is finally done!  I love to do projects, but a big problem that I have is that I am a huge perfectionist.  When I was little I would vacuum my room everyday.  I wouldn't let people sit on my bed if it was made because I didn't want it to have wrinkles in it.  Luckily somewhere while growing up, I chilled out a bit.  I still like things to be just right though.
This becomes a hindrance when I start a project that I am really excited about, and then just can't finish it for fear that it won't turn out just how I picture it.  It sounds crazy, but that is how my little mind works.

I have many different crafting projects starting to loom over me in our closet, so I decided to begin to finish all of them...perfect or not.  This is my first feat.  My dear friend Emily made one of these quilts in red and white Pottery Barn bedding material, I was obsessed so I had to make one.  So I went to the "last chance" downeast home strore in West Valley and picked up some Pottery Barn bedding and went to work.  Years later, here is the finished product.  (The funny thing is the only piece I had to finish was the binding!)  Once it is washed, the little circles fray and it is a nice addition.

So here's to one down and many more enticing projects to go!

I'm glad that you finally finished your quilt. It turned out just right and is so darling. Keep up the good work. I need to follow your example in finishing projects but I keep adding more on top of the ones I have.

Wow!! Where do you find the time to do anything other than cook, clean, exercise, and play with kids! I can only juggle these and NOTHING else. You are amazing! the quilt is beautiful!

Um... you need to come live in Hoboken so you can teach me! Among numerous other reasons... including getting to play in New York together and getting squeeze your kiddos whenever I want. :-)
This is such a beautiful project. Good job on finally finishing it!

That is so darling. I hear you on the perfectionist thing. I am the same way. Funny how it makes me a procrastinator...but it totally does. If I can't do it right than I don't want to do it at all. Thanks for inspiring me to get working on a lot of unfinished business.

I remember you working on this darling quilt when you were waiting for Caroline. I felt like my son had sure done himself a good job of choosing a creative wife. I've never been a finisher. I want to be just like you when I grow up! The quilt turned out perfect--mission accomplished :0)Love you lots.

oh Andrea, I am the SAME way!!! For that very reason I seriously can't do crafts, etc...if I make it it has to be perfect, but for some reason if I BUY it, then I don't notice all of the imperfections. Way to go! It turned out DARLING!!!

I wonder if you'll even see this.
I got here through Gae.
Your quilt is beautiful, and I feel inspired to get going on my own projects. Perfectionism is such a curse when working with fabric as it has a mind of its own. I hope you will continue and enjoy!
