Friday's Fabulous Five!

It has been a little while since I have posted anything, but Adam is gone for the week out of town and so I thought that if he could read something posted from Caroline and I, it would help him feel not so far away!
1- Adam is one day closer to being home! He is out in D.C. staying with our wonderful friends, thanks Gardner's!, for a week and attending a patent bar review course. He will be working so hard, in training classes all day. I really am so proud of Adam, and miss him fiercely.
2- It was Gigi's, my grandmother's, birthday this week! She turned 84 years old and is the most unforgettable, amazing person. She is classy, funny, smart, and spontaneous. Once she took my siblings and I on a picnic in Wyoming just on a whim. She will beat anyone in Trivial Pursuit. She did a headstand not too long ago just to prove she could still do one. She knows a song for every word that exists. She's an artist. She has overcome so many physical ailments and blessed us with her presence everyday. We LOVE you Gigi!!
3- Gigi opened my taste buds to her favorite restaurant in Ogden Canyon. We went for lunch with my mom, Aunt Joan, cousins Melissa and Hope, and my brother Matt. Rainbow Gardens...ring a bell to anyone? If not, I highly recommend it, the food was divine, the dessert...even better. It was also so fun to be with extended family to catch up.
4- I don't work on Tuesdays anymore! I can't explain the excitement I feel, the freedom. Caroline get ready to party! That day off will be so cherished.
5- Valentine's was romantic, and a mini vacation! We went out of town to downtown! Thanks Gae for watching Caroline. I don't know what it is also, but reservations are so romantic to me, and Adam made them at Spencer's steakhouse...mmmm. I guess it's just the thought that goes into that. And flowers delivered to work?! Another big plus for me...so memorable.

Friday's Fabulous Five

1- Happy Happy Birthday Mom!! My mom is the best. She goes above and beyond for anyone, especially her kids. It seems like she knows how to do anything, cook it, fix it, make it...she's a whiz and I want to learn all she knows how to do. I love all of the handmade things that she makes for Caroline and for me!...sweaters, quilts, skirts, dresses, socks, etc. We have so much fun hanging out and gallivanting around town. She's always there for us, even when I have been thousands of miles away she would call or e-mail often. We love you mom!
2- No work today!!! Woo Hoo, it was the best. Caroline and I had such a blast looking for pinecones outside, coloring (and tasting crayons), dancing, and putting on several pairs of shoes.
3- One of my old roomies and dear friend from highschool got engaged recently! It has been so fun talking about wedding plans with her and going with her to look a dresses...can Adam and I do it all over again? I would LOVE to.
4- We have been planning some family trips for summer...I am always up for a trip!
5- We have so so many people who help us out so much when we need it. Thanks for giving us so much of your time and for loving our sweet little Caroline!!

My Sweet Girls

So Andrea does most of the blogging, cleaning, loving, cuddling, budgeting, working, and just about every other action verb that you can think of around our house. I sure am lucky to have her! Here is a picture of one of those precious moments with momma and her little girl. I love you both!!!

Friday's Fabulous Five!

1- We got to go on a date with my sister, Corinne, and my brother-in-law Justin to the Jazz game! We all laughed the entire time...what with sitting next to Mr. Sloshed, being harassed by some of the mascots, getting on the jumbo tron, and searching for Eva Longoria (we played the Spurs with Tony Parker) we had the greatest time. Thanks J and Corinne for the invite!!! Oh yes, and I got milk duds...I realize my current favorite candy.
2- Adam and I cleaned every inch of the house and boy does it sparkle!
3- Adam is so thoughtful. Whenever he hears a "need" of mine, his ears perk up and he always keeps an eye out for little surprises for me. He got the best slippers at Costco the other day and I love them, also he came home with 7 pairs of different workout pants for me to try. He just does little things that mean so much, I love you babe!
4- I went to a baby shower for a dear friend and got to see many people that I hadn't seen forever. I just love all of these girls and loved catching up.
5- I love when Caroline picks up a bag or purse and then says "See ya!" like she has things to do, places to go. I also love chasing her around the house, her little run makes me smile.

Friday's Fabulous Five!

1- Oh yes, the law school applications are all in! It was a lot of work for Adam, but he got it all done. Way to go sweetie! We are so excited to find out our fate.
2- I took up a new hobby..well I tried it before and didn't like it...crocheting! It is much for fun to make cute hats for Caroline than to crochet endlessly around a baby blanket. My mom and I went to a class, and it was a lot of fun.
3- Caroline sings along to songs...it melts my heart. She will sing a phrase here and there, and many of the last words from a line. She is loving "Popcorn popping" and does actions, many Signing Times songs, as well as primary songs...like "Jesus wants me for a Sunbeep".
4- Last weekend was so fun! We had a date night with kids. I loved it and it was fun to be with such a fun crowd. Watching Caroline play with others fascinates me. Doesn't it make you wonder what you were like as a kid? I do all the time.
5- We found some chopsticks that Adam's dad brought back from his mission in Japan. They are the real deal, with a fancy case and all. We ate with them for dinner tonight! Doitashi mashite, Don't mention it...errr that's my favorite Japanese phrase!
