A visitor!!

Last weekend we had the pleasure of being able to see our dear friend Lauren Johnson. We have been friends since 9th grade and have had the best time living life!! We did internships in Washington D.C., hopped over to Iceland for a weekend, spent some amazing time in Thailand with friends, and drove to Mexico a few times. She lives life to the fullest!
She didn't actually come to Concord, she was on a trip to meet her goal of visiting all 50 states before she is 30. Her last state was Maine so she "turned 50" last weekend! She came with relatives, Ruthanne and Bill. Ruthanne told Caroline to call her Aunt Beautiful, which she was, a very stunning and classy woman. She and Lauren are kindred spirits.
We met up in Maine for some crab cakes, salmon, and warm blueberry tarts. When Ruthanne was not in Caroline's sight for a little bit she would ask, "Where is Aunt Beautiful?" I am so glad that we got to see our dear friend, and that Adam could take a short break from working so hard and come! Lar and I always wanted to visit Maine together.

I can't believe how Caroline looks so grown up. I CAN'T STAND IT!!!! She's growing up too fast and I'm not around to see it. I'm glad that you could hook up with Lauren. Where did you eat this time? The same place we did? Crab cakes etc. sounded yummy.

Hurray for Lauren! That's an ambitious goal. Did you ever think you'd be around so close for her last state in MAINE? Caroline is a person. She will be in law school herself any day now at the rate she's growing. What's a grandma to do? We can't wait to visit at Christmas time.

I love that idea of visiting all 50 states before 30! Dang, I don't stand a chance at it though. It's definitely on my "to do" list though to see all 50 states: their local things to do as well as the tourist sites! And p.s. I seriously see Lauren EVERYWHERE! Well, I mean her name, etc...I guess she is friends with a handful of my friends. =) Fun stuff!
