This week has been a very busy, but fulfilling one. We have been packin' in all we can before we will be hanging out at home for a while. The weather has been unseasonably gorgeous, 66 degrees yesterday, and so it's been nice to be outside a bit.
On Monday it rained all day, but we took a drive to go to a museum in Dover. The museum was closed, but I was really ok with that because the drive was so festive. We drove past several antique shops, quaint New England homes, and beautiful churches. There were fresh pine wreaths with red bows hanging on the church doors and many of the homes, it was a scene out of a movie. Melanie and I stopped, with the kids mind you, at one of the antique shops and I scored an amazing vintage highchair for free! I already have one that two of my darling friends from out here gave me. Melanie said, "Oh, so you are a highchair collector." Yes, I am strange, I guess I have a thing for them.
For playgroup this week we got a tour of the fire station. The kids loved it and Caroline loved pretending to drive the fire engine so much that I thought she was going to break off the window wiper device.
Today we remade a little Winegar family tradition and made some festive sugar cookies. We didn't have Caroline's cousins there, Liam frosting his cookie to the table because he can't get enough of it, but it was so fun to make them with her. We played Frank Sinatra's "J-I-N-G-L-E Bells" in the background and got flour everywhere. The best part is we are saving some for my mom to try because she flies in Monday!! Hooray, we can't wait to have her here. She will be here almost 2 weeks and we hope to have an exciting new arrival come during that time. I feel guilty because I still feel really good and I am sleeping well too. I think I am going to be overdue. We are fine with that because it means our little peanut is packing on ounces and that Adam could be done with finals. He finishes the 17th, GOOD LUCK BABE!

How exciting!!! I miss you two around the hospital!!!

Isn't our little bear adorable? Thanks for posting pics so I can see all of the fun that you two/three are up to. I love you babe!
I wanna see pics of these antique high chairs!
What a great mom! Can't wait to hear about your new addition!
Looks like fun! I love that picture of Caroline frosting cookies...whenever you guys are able to come and visit (or the other way around)we will have to find a reason to all frost cookies together.
And...I think that the pic of Caroline in the hat looks a bit like Liam.
Love you!

Looks like you are still having the time of your life back there and soon I'll be able to have fun with you. I can't wait!!! We are going to have so much fun and then when the baby comes we'll have even more fun. See you in 2 days.
Hasn't the weather been awesome!? Don't let it fool you...the days of -15 degree weather are coming! I can't believe she hasn't made her debut--we can't wait!!!
one of the things i miss most about back east is all the awesome antique shops. really. i miss it. my mother is a high chair collector too. antique high chairs are so beautiful. another thing hard to come by out west...coat trees. pick one of those up if you don't have one already and chests. i miss that. hopefully this baby comes soon! i'll keep checking.
OMGOSH! What an adorable kid! We love Caroline so much. It's great to see pics of her busy social life. She's growing so fast it's almost scary. I try to imagine loving anyone else as much as I love her! But it happens again (and again, and again and again...he he!)at the Thomas home, so I should not doubt. The Pea will inspire her share of The Love! Can't wait to squish her little cheeks!
Little did you know that you would be in labor the next day. You definately had the "nesting" instinct!
